After a hard fought competition on Sunday afternoon the first round of the Mini League has now been swum. The points awarded for each of the three teams competing at Whitehill Pool were as follows.
1st place – Ren 96 with 195 points.
2nd place – Rutherglen with 148 points.
3rd place – Kingston with 73 points.
Despite some call-offs for the Kingston team, which meant that we were sadly unable to swim in several of the events on the day, Kingston put in a brave effort and gave a fair account of themselves in the events they contested. Congratulations also to both Rutherglen and Ren 96.
A special congratulations, too, to all our team members on the day for all their hard work at the meet and especially to all the young swimmers for whom this was their first gala.
A final thanks of course to all the people who helped make the day a success: from officials from all clubs/districts, timekeepers, coaches and recorders to the parents who came along and also those who helped with the hospitality and made this yet another Kingston standard meet. Many thanks – and well done Kingston!
